Thomas E. Welch, age 58, of Albia, Iowa died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. He was born June 5, 1948 in Albia, Iowa. His parents were Theodore and Zelpha May (Frye) Welch. Thomas had worked for Ragtime Industries in Albia for 10 years. He is survived by his cousins; Denise Dye, Stephen Dye, and Richard Dye all of Albia, Iowa, and Jamie Dye of Palmyra, Nebraska. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and his Aunt & Uncle Barbara & Ernest Frye. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Oakview Cemetery in Albia. An open visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia. A memorial has been established to Parkview Cottage Residential Care in Albia, Iowa.
