Linda Marie McLaren

Linda Marie McLaren, 66, of Albia, IA (formerly of Knoxville, IA), died August 30, 2021, peacefully in her sleep at home. Linda was born February 8, 1955 to Kenneth LeMar and Francis Geraldine DeGoey. She was a 1973 graduate of Knoxvillle High School in Knoxville, IA. Linda retired after many years at Dollar General in Knoxville, IA where she had managed multiple stores over the years. Linda’s passion was being home with family. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to local casinos, cooking, gardening, playing with her dog, Roo. Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Laura Ford; Arie (Bud) and Marie DeGoey; her parents, a niece, Amy Marie DeGoey; a nephew, Michael Lee DeGoey and her best friend, Vicki Major. Linda is survived by her life partner, Pat Stokes, of Albia; her children, Mika Jo DeGoey (Chris Foster), James K Fee (Samantha), Tammy Balderas (Bernabe),Greg Major, and Robert Fee; Grandchildren: Chris Foster (Sara), Julian Foster, Koby Foster, Jesse Fee (Lexi), Andrew Roush, Abby Fee, Chaz Fee, Donnie Hosfield, Kenny Fee, Andrew Fee, Riley Fee, Kevin Fee, and Nicole Bostwick (Adam); Great-Grandchildren: Preston Foster, Theodore Foster, Octavia Fee, Oliver Fee, Mya Bostwick and Andrew Fee; Siblings Kena K Rojohn, Randy (Gooch) DeGoey, Terry Lee DeGoey (Shelly) and Jeffrey Wayne DeGoey all of Knoxville; 26 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends too numerous to list. A celebration of life with a casual luncheon to follow will be held in her honor at a later date.
