Betty Mae Clark Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Mae Clark, age 92, of Albia, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the Monroe Care Center in Albia surrounded by her family. Betty was born on March 12, 1925 to Archie and Georgia (Smith) Allison at home on the family farm in Albia. She grew up and attended Fair View Country School in Monroe County. In 1958 she was united in marriage to Charles Malloy. To this union 2 children were born, Sandy and Charles. In 1959 she was united in marriage to Eugene Clark until his passing in 1999. Betty was a homemaker and a babysitter for most of her life. She was a member of the VFW for 50 years. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and other crafts. Her real joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Betty is survived by her daughter, Sandy Malloy of Albia; a son, Charles Malloy of Oskaloosa; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Louise McFarland of Newton and Barbara Cooper of Des Moines. Betty is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Malloy and Eugene Clark; her parents, Archie and Georgia; and a brother, Billy Allison. As was Betty’s wish, her body has been cremated and there are no services planned at this time.
